Use the Home Page

What this is
Home is the first page you see when you sign in to Sitebase or switch organizations. It brings together what is coming up across every project in your organization, the records you opened recently, and shortcuts to common tasks, so you can start your day without opening each project.
Home has these sections:
| Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Upcoming appointments | Appointments in the chosen date range across every project in the organization. |
| Tasks | Coming soon. |
| Recently viewed | The records and pages you opened most recently, so you can go back to them in one click. |
| Quick actions | Shortcuts to add a participant, add a patient, or schedule an appointment. |
| Explore Curebase | A short overview of other things you can do in Curebase. |
When to use it
You want to see who is coming in today, tomorrow, or this week.
You need to get back to a participant, patient, or page you were working on.
You want to add a participant or patient, or book an appointment, without first finding the right page.
Before you start
Home is available to everyone who can open Sitebase for your organization.
Each section shows only what you have access to. If you cannot list appointments, Upcoming appointments shows that nothing is scheduled. Quick actions you cannot use do not appear.
If your organization has no projects yet, Home shows No projects yet instead of these sections.
Open Home
Click Home under Global workspace in the sidebar.
Home also opens on its own when you sign in and when you switch to another organization from the user menu.
Choose the date range
Use the date range control at the top of Home to choose:
Today: shows today's appointments. The heading reads "Today across your projects."
Tomorrow: shows tomorrow's appointments.
This week: shows this week's appointments.
The range changes what Upcoming appointments lists. Other sections are not affected.
Review upcoming appointments
Upcoming appointments lists appointments in the chosen range across every project in the organization, in order of start time, five per page.
Read each row. It shows the start time and day in your time zone and language, the appointment type, the visit name from the participant's current protocol version, the participant, the duration, and the project. An appointment that is not linked to a visit shows its title instead.
Use the page controls to move through more than five appointments.
Click a row to open the participant's record.
Click View calendar to open the Calendar for more detail or to book. View calendar does not appear if you cannot open the Calendar.
What you see depends on your access:
Cancelled appointments are not listed.
Appointments whose end time has passed are greyed out and marked Past, so you can see what is still to come.
Participant names appear only when you have access to personal information. Otherwise you see the participant ID.
If you cannot open the participant, the row shows Participant and cannot be clicked.
Go back to something you viewed recently
Recently viewed lists the five records and pages you opened most recently in this organization, newest first. Each row names the item and where it is, such as a project or the patient database.
Optional: Use the item type filter to show only one kind of item:
All types shows everything.
Patients shows people from the patient database.
Participants shows participants in your projects.
Project pages shows pages inside a project, such as a project's Overview or Participants list.
Workspace pages shows organization pages, such as the Patient database or Calendar.
Click a row to open it.
Items you no longer have access to, and items from projects you can no longer open, are left out.
Use quick actions
Quick actions open the same steps you would use from the page where each task normally lives. Each one appears only if you can do that task.
Add participant opens the New participant dialog. See Manage Participants in a Project.
Add patient opens the New person dialog for the patient database. See Manage People in the Patient Database.
Schedule appointment opens the Calendar's scheduling dialog, where you choose the project, site, and optionally a participant. See Manage Appointments. A new appointment in the chosen range appears in Upcoming appointments right away.
Create task is coming soon.
Tips
Start your day on Today to see who is coming in, then switch to This week to plan ahead.
Use Recently viewed instead of searching when you move back and forth between a few participants.
